hello
how are you?
im well
Mitch is well
Felipe is pretty happy
Matty and Ian?
i dont know about those guys
i havent spoken to them today
Mat and Ian are tracking some guitar
stuff up at Ian`s studio (Noisegate)
and we thought we`d leave em to it.
shit!
did i even tell you?
we`re recording a new album
sorry
i should have said so earlier
so yeah
we`re in the middle of recording our
new album
we`re stoked
everyone`s right into it
everyone being Mat, Mitch, Ian, Felipe,
Neal, Matty Wu and myself
fuck
maybe no one else`ll like it
nah!!

maybe??
hopefully you guys will like it anyway
i dont want to sound presumptous but
if i really had to bet my life on
it
id say that youre bound to like a
song or two if not the whole thing
we really really like it anyway
so yeah..
its been a couple of weeks since we
started
its been pretty cool
fairly cruisy
alot of fun
we managed to squeeze a surf in most
mornings so thats been a good start
to the day in the studio
and its been great to surf regardless
we havent had a stint in the water
for a while so we`re pretty stoked
about that
but yeah back to the
studio
we got the drums and bass down for
most of the songs in about 6 or 7
days
then Felipe went to work on the keys
and the harp for a couple of days
while i went to hospital and had my
mouth attacked by a so called oral
surgeon.

what do they do to you while youre
asleep?
i was knocked out and had four wisdoms
removed
its pretty strange stuff
it feels like ive been bashed!
eating baby food is glory though!!!
then after all was well
i went back in and finished some bass
stuff
and now Matty`s been in there sweating
and occasionally smashing his uncooperative
guitar on Ians mixing desk
nah!
those guys are up there cruising
laying down tracks and eating Lebanese
bread with chicken and salad.
almost sounds relaxing
not quite but its better than crushing
your balls in the steering wheel of
a bus
so yeah
im going up tomorrow (i think) to
do some singing and some mixing and
just generally punch each other out
should be cool
ill let you know what happens
