We've got a gig with the Nine Mile boys tonight

Righty-o
how are you cobbers and cobbettes
im just great
right now im in D`ari`s (from Nine Mile) apartment in Toronto
tops
we`ve got a gig with the Nine Mile boys tonight
that should be cool
we havent seen em for a few weeks
they thought we got lost
and i think we almost did
in the last journal i mentioned the Gulf Islands just off Vancouver
well we ende spending a whole lot more time out there chillin with the
otters and some humans aswell
we played this little community hall on a small island called Denman Island
that was wicked
theres no hotels out there so we stayed out at Norma and Kens house
ha
they were so cool
damn
they hooked us up with beds and cooked for us and gave us other special
gifts
only bummer was that their dog attacked me
but thats cool
its because im evil and have bad intentions
and im prepared to except responsibility for that
fuck it
yeah anwyway
the hall gig was super dooper cool
there were beers, soft drink and cookies and cake for sale
there were kids running around and dogs causing trouble
and naturally
everyone was smoking indecent amounts of hash and weed
i drank alot of tea
weve done a few gigs like that now and i love em
theyve got such an awesome vibe
we also did a couple of gigs in Vancouver that were great
we got maggot drunk in this homeless cardboard box seggy underneath a bridge
near our hotel with some local lads
it was seedy but it was cool
it was 420 day
the national celebration of marijuana
tops
then to cap off the journey thru BC we went back out to Vancouver Island and
drove over the western side to a place called Tofino
they have waves there
uhooooo!
we saw the ocean for the first time in a long time
that was cool
but we also saw people suiting up in their 4/5 ml wetsuits with hoods and
booties
youre joking arent you
for those of you that dont know
that means the water is absolutely f#$%**#g freezing
we didnt have time to go out anyway
Adam the sound guy put us up at his house
that was so cool
he had a really nice house and we had a little party back there afterwards
we were talkling about West Oz and Margaret River and its surrounds
Adam was telling me that his girlfriend was from Albany which is way down
there
and it turns out that Adam`s girlfriend is the beautiful Donna from the
Waifs
ha
small world hey
the gig rocked
in fact
it was the most rockin gig we`ve done in Canada
there was heaps of people there
biggest audience yet
and they were all dancing and going off
it ruled
we were so stoked
Tofino. what a place
a couple of days and 20 vegetable gyoza`s later
we went back up to Whistler to play a gig with Xavier for the last day of
the festival that they have up there every year.
that was mad too
it was good to see Xavier
it was weird it was like being at a fest in Australia
everyone in Whistler is Aussie anyway
we got to play to heaps of people which was cool
and they fed us and boozed us up which was cool
and the sun was out and everyone was chilled and happy which was awesome
hmmmmm
then after that, we reluctantly bid our farewells (there would have been the
best parties that nite)
and we drove back to Van and jumped on a plane to Toronto
that was heavy
D`Ari and Roley came to pick us up from the airport and now here we are
folks
apartment 666
no shit
but they changed the number to 671 because no one would rent it
its 671 but it sits inbetween 665 and 667
the apatment of The Beast
anyway youze
i suppose thats about it
the weather here in Toronto is just georgeous
its 9 degrees and its overcast
im going downstairs into the alleyway behind D`Ari`s apartments to take off
my clothes and smash my head against the cold steel dumpster and piss on
myself
that should be good
