I've
been held captive and used as a dunny
brush

Oi there
sorry i havent been in contact for
a while
ive been held captive and used as
a dunny brush in a grizzly bears lair
for
a week or so
that was tops
and when i finally escaped and cleaned
myself off
we got lost in the wilderness
and what a wilderness it is
the British Columbia interior is just
so amazing
such an amazing gathering of mountains,
lakes and rivers
and in just two days we`ll be out
at the ocean
unfortunately unless someone can lend
all 3 of us a 5 ml wetsuit along with
booties and a hood
we wont be out there
but regardless its gonna be so good
to see some surf
we`ve just been up in
Whistler
which, in regards to Aussie population,
is Canadas version of Bali and
London
it was nutty
we went from speaking to about 8 Aussies
in 3 months to being surrounded by
hundreds all of a sudden
it was a great couple of days up there
and it was mad to see some crew from
our hometown
after that we hit the
gulf islands which sit just off the
Van Couver city
coast
wow
what a mad place
we hit this island called Salt Spring
for a couple of days where we did
2
gigs
it was so beautiful
it strangely resembled to Hawkesbury
River and its islands which are
situated just out behind where we
live on the northern beaches in Sydney
but the scene was like old school
Byron Bay
heaps of ferals and hippies hanging
out in the sun in the park
some playing hacky sack
everyone smoking pot
and i mean everyone
kids were selling mull cookies
people were literally shoving joints
and pipes in your face
after each gig everyone would bust
outside and it was on
everyone would be smoking at the same
time
smoke and smoking devices going everywhere
it was just too funny
ive seen plenty of people smoke pot
before
but never with such vigour and so
much enthusiasm
and theyre all very generous to each
other too which is very cool
yeah
it was an interesting place
it was just so nice to be out there
because we were staying upstairs above
the little restaurant we were playing
in
and we were eating from their kitchen
and just hanging out there all the
time
it felt like we were home
not quite my home
but home
you know what i mean
it was complete comfort
by the end of our 2 day stay we felt
like we were somehow a part of the
community there
and that felt nice
i raise my glass to the good people
of Salt Spring
im coming back guys
i promise.
alright
thats it
im off for all you can eat sushi again
so cheap here
love youze
