Holy crap we have just seen some of the gnarliest landscapes
written: 6th April 2004, By Clay

well here we are near the border of British Columbia, Canada in a lovely
little city called Edmunton, Alberta, Canada.
we have just been up in the Canadian Rockies for the last few days doing
gigs willy nilly and holy crap we have just seen some of the gnarliest landscapes we`re probably ever gonna see
words will not be able to describe the mountains and the valleys and the ice
fields and the pine forests and the crystal lakes and the big horned sheep
half way up cliff faces and the avalanche areas
and the moose blood on the road.
words just wont be enough this time
it was too crazy you know
every corner we`d come around it was like
wow, your jaw would drop
so so cool
its amazing what happens when a couple of tectonic plates push against each other for millions of years
if only the Pacific plate smashed into Australaisia a bit harder
we`d have some good skiing in them hills
but you cant have it all can you
oh yeah
i met some Aussies last nite
after 2 months, i cant tell you what a pleasure it is to hear someone say
"how ya goin mate"
its bloody grouse
by the way
still havent seen a grouse or a moose
just moose blood
ive met a few people that have run into moose though
thats gotta be exciting
yeah so anyway
besides driving thru the most insane mountain range ive ever seen,
playing some mad gigs,
hanging out with some Aussies
and checking in to hotel number one hundred
there isnt much to report
i hope everyone is well
have a top day for me ok?
ciao
from Clay
