Happy Travels
written: 19th February 2004, By Clay

G’day mate
throw another shrimp on the barbie
shit!!
we’re on the wrong side of the road
lookout!!

this is a wild adventure
its definitely a unique way of seeing America
or any place for that matter

you know
doing a gig and then moving on
its like "Around America in 90 days"

we spend few days in the one place here and there
but for the most of it
were on the fly

we’re still in the heart of the Midwest
and apart from seeing some, so called, white trash trailer parks yesterday
it isn’t the Midwest i know from the movies, media and other mythical tales
then again
maybe it is
i might not be the right person to ask
i mean, it just doesn’t seem to be the crazy place i was lead to believe i
was going to
all the people we meet are just so cool and chilled out
they’re all so nice and down to earth.
but i suppose cause we meet them at the gigs
we’re only seeing a small slice of the Midwestern society
and it would surely be different if you worked in a local gas station or a
bar or something like that

but yeah
anyway
what a way to travel hey
slowly we make our way south out of the Midwest to a place known only as
west
or you can call it Texas if you like

by the way
the feedback has been awesome
everywhere we go
there are people digging the music so we’re stoked

loving the gigs
missing the surf

stay fair dinkum ok guys
oo-roo (is that how you spell it??)
