Thu, 18 Jan 2007 11:41:24 +1100 http://www.thebeautifulgirls.com/journal/index.php?comment=451 filth!!!!!!! stark!!!!!!! bonza!!!!!! what a place to have a festival when we got there i walked right up the back just to suss it all out what an amazing sight one of my favourite bands ever, Brant Bjork and the Bros up on stage playing to thousands of people and behind them and the stage nothing but blue ocean fucken radical it really is one of the best festival sights in the country the crowd there got completely fucking twisted from the arvo into the night it went full on wild could have been the setting i dont know but some of our crew ended up losing their minds too i wont name names but one of the gang stood infront of all of us out the back somewhere and proceeded to suck the dirt of this chicks two big toes that was pretty weird then when we left the crew in the other car still not naming names called us up talking jibberish and they couldnt find their bags which were right where they left em and then one of em spewed in the car it was a touch a madness maybe it was the wind? fuck who knows weird night though ripper Thu, 18 Jan 2007 11:37:02 +1100 http://www.thebeautifulgirls.com/journal/index.php?comment=450 yes!!!!!! the Woodford Folk Festival lives again what ever forces aligned so as to sort us out with being there once again- i love you the Woodford Folk Fest is what life should be everyone rocking out together in harmony and respect for the land that everybody is rocking upon pretty simple but totally true the music where do i start? i wont the people too good, the best im not even gonna say anymore just go there and see for yourself respect Thu, 18 Jan 2007 11:24:43 +1100 http://www.thebeautifulgirls.com/journal/index.php?comment=449 so sorry to all our awesome American friends it is out of our hands Matty started to press on solo but it didnt work out we really do apoligise we love that place to the bone and we will be back asap but were theres a negative theres a positive now we have some time to get our new songs together and get them recorded and get them out to you so not all is lost piece be with you bless your hearts from Clay, Matty and Bruce Thu, 21 Sep 2006 16:57:56 +1000 http://www.thebeautifulgirls.com/journal/index.php?comment=107 i forgot to mention the night before that nasty stuff went down we had the best damn fireworks display ever since they banned em in Australia so we`re driving thru the Candian Rockies thru Grindrod to be precise what a mad name for a place! and we see a sign that says FIREWORKS`!!!!!!!!!!! yeahza count me in so i legged it over to the shop and stocked up big time so stoked we didnt actually let em off for a day or two until we got to Winnipeg and by that time i had bought quite a few more crackers but yeah that nite after the gig in Winnipeg for a bout 1 and a half minutes the carpark across the road from our hotel was lit up like the Mardi Gras at midday fuck it was funny all the crew were up on the balcomy of our place and i went down solo to start the show i got em all lined up i had these mad little pop rocket things stuck into the ground i had the screechers to my left i had the strobe thingos and the crazy jacks to my right and dug into the dirt right in front of me i had the 50 ball shooter and of course- the 91 ball shooter stood up tall and ready to shoot so i lit up a whole bunch of crazy jacks and strobes and chucked em out all over the carpark just to get things started i chucked em out everywhere and then looked up to see the cops turning onto my street shattered but not to worry they just drove straight past seriously what do you have to do to get some attention 20 multi coloured flashing lights and smoke is obviously not enough so yeah they bailed but i still shit myself a bit and so i just lit everything that had a wick on it and i fucken ran our friends were cracking up they said all they could see was this eruption of ball shooters and various other crackers and me legging it across the carpark top speed toward the hotel once i got to the other side of the street i turned to see the most beautiful sight i had seen since 1982 CRACKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was only about a minute and a half but it felt like a lifetime to me how much fun can you possibly have it cranked and when it was over i could hear all the gang applauding from up above then just as it was time to go back inside i sly-ly let off one more purple 8 ball shooter right below the balcony hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clay Sat, 09 Sep 2006 23:35:42 +1000 http://www.thebeautifulgirls.com/journal/index.php?comment=106 fucken hell i cant say too much at the moment but check this first up Matty will be playing the remainder of our North American tour solo Bruce (drums), Lachlan (keys) and Matty Wu (tour manager) were denied entry into the US fucken cunt!!!!!!!!!!!! i personally apoligise to all the crew that are coming out to our upcoming shows but on a lighter note an uplifting note actually Matty will be pressing on solo for fans of the band it is a rare opportunity to check out his stuff in this format its pretty rare that Matty does more than 1 or 2 songs solo at the gigs so yeah thats the positive side of the whole thing i was really looking forward to getting back into the States i love touring down there all the places all the wicked people no doubt we`ll come back in a few months with a band but until then say gday to Matty for me and take care and also dont fuck around with US customs arrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
